Man and Horse
A horse is a beast with
very large feet that will step on your toes if you let it.
My friend likes to ride, sitting astride, but to tell you the truth, I don’t
get it.
The skill of the man
doing all that he can and the trust of the horse he is riding;
the take and the yield, the rush o’er the field, are the things that he’s
always confiding.
The leap in the
air—horses don’t belong there—the obstacles flashing below them;
the beat of each heart as each does his part, are the joys of those that can
know them.
A horse is a beast with
very large feet that will step on your toes if you let it.
My friend likes to ride, sitting astride, but to tell you the truth, I don’t
get it.
